Event Details:

Join the City of Altus for a free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event. This is a great opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted household hazardous materials, helping to keep our environment clean and safe.

Items Accepted:

• Motor Oil and Automotive Fluids
• Paints, Spray Paint, Thinners
• Batteries (Car, Motorcycle, NiCads, handheld appliances...)
• Weed Killers and Lawn Chemicals
• Pesticides, Pool Chemicals, Solvents
• Propane, Aerosol Cans, Fuels (including old Gasoline)
• Poisons, Cleaning Chemicals
• Electronic Waste (old computers, printers, monitors, cell phones, etc.)
• Fluorescent Bulbs & Ballasts, Pharmaceuticals, Needles and Sharps
• Reactive Waste, Corrosive Wastes (including Acids)
• Mercury and old thermometers

Items NOT Accepted:

• Explosives, Radioactive Waste, Smoke Detectors
• Infectious Waste, Regulated Dioxins, Regulated PCBs
• Commercial Waste, Industrial Waste
